Lonoke, AR – October 16, 2025 — After months of operating with limited capacity due to a broken dental chair, Community Smile Project can once again serve patients at full strength, thanks to the donation of a replacement chair provided by Standard Computer Company.

The non-profit clinic, which delivers affordable dental care to uninsured families, had been forced to reduce appointments and postpone treatments after its main operatory chair failed earlier this year. The new chair has already restored the clinic’s ability to treat patients efficiently and comfortably.

“This donation means everything to us,” said Maria Alvarez, Executive Director of Community Smile Project. “We were turning away patients who needed help simply because we didn’t have the equipment. Now, with this new chair, we can see more patients, shorten our waitlists, and continue serving families who rely on us for care.”

Standard Computer Company, an Arkansas-based dental technology provider, learned of the clinic’s situation and offered to donate and install a fully functional chair at no cost. “Community Smile Project does incredible work, and we were honored to help them get back to doing what they do best — changing lives through dental care,” said Sean Kubin, CEO of Standard Computer Company.

With the new chair in place, the clinic expects to increase its daily patient volume by nearly 30%, allowing more community members to receive vital oral health services.
